Saturday Bugs on Wheels

Houston Museum of Natural ScienceSaturday, June 24th at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm come and meet amazing arthropods presented by Houston Museum of Natural Science and Cockrell Butterfly Center Bugs on Wheels.  See live giant millipedes, docile hissing cockroaches, stunning walking sticks and much more will amaze children in this hands-on, interactive presentation.

For children ages 5-11, this presentation gives the audience a chance to meet some of the most unusual members of the insect world, while learning about their native habitats and unique adaptations for survival.

Giant millipedes, hissing cockroaches, amazingly camouflaged walking sticks, furry tarantulas and more will fascinate children as they learn all about the incredible world of arthropods.

Discover the major insect orders, learn the parts of an arthropod, and make friends with a tarantula – all during one presentation! Tickets required, space is limitede to 30 children per presentation.  Come 30 minutes early to get your free ticket at the desk.
